Our CommITMENT TO A GREENER SAN FRANCISCO

At Betty Zlatchin Catering, we take pride in being a San Francisco Green Certified Business—a recognition that reflects our deep commitment to sustainability and community stewardship.

Environmental responsibility is woven into everything we do, from our kitchen practices to our partnerships. By prioritizing sustainable sourcing, waste reduction, and eco-friendly operations, we actively contribute to keeping San Francisco green.

Our Green Practices

As part of our certification, we meet and exceed rigorous sustainability standards, including:

Eco-Friendly Operations

  • Using non-toxic cleaning products throughout our facilities

  • Training our staff in waste sorting and sustainability initiatives through our Environmental Policy Statement

  • Using 100% recycled paper materials in our office and kitchen

Sustainable Sourcing & Energy Use

  • Ensuring 99% of our seafood is listed as a Best Choice on the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch Program and sourcing our seafood from Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) or Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) certified suppliers

  • Powering our headquarters with 100% renewable energy via Clean Power SF

  • Sourcing our produce directly from local, regenerative farms whenever possible. The majority of our produce is sourced directly from weekly visits to the Marin Farmers Market—you can see our chefs rolling through the MFM in the below photo!

Supporting Our Community

  • Providing employee commuter benefits, including telework options and a carpool incentive program

  • Partnering with San Francisco Green Businesses, including:

    • Earl's Organic Produce

    • Rainbow Grocery

    • The Fillmore
