Located in the heart of Union Square and the hotel district, August Hall is one of San Francisco’s original masterpieces. The unique space was originally built in the 1890s as a Victorian Playhouse by celebrated architect August Headman, where it later showed films such as "Stage Door" in the 1940s and featured the premiere of Alfred Hitchcock’s film "Vertigo" on May 9, 1958. Today, this historic venue has been reborn as August Hall, serving as the perfect location to host your next corporate event, private concert, art show, film screening, wedding, reception, fundraiser or gala. With over 15,000 sq ft of flexible design space, August Hall accommodates groups of 50 - 1,000 guests. Its historic setting consists of three unique spaces with a design that pays homage to original architecture of the building. From the plush Green Room to the dynamic Fifth Arrow restaurant and pristinely restored Assembly Hall, August Hall has an atmosphere that celebrates extraordinary hospitality and service.
